Facebook Places has now been released in the US only and I’ve had a little time to play around with Facebook’s latest addition to its services. Firstly, Places can only be accessed via the Facebook iphone app and Facebook plans to release apps for other platforms including Android and Blackberry. Alternatively, you can access places via a brower at touch.facebook.com.

The media are reporting that Facebook will be making an announcement on Wednesday (tomorrow) detailing their location service. So what will this service look like, and how will we use it?
